FAQ and Commonly Asked Questions
Here you can find some commonly asked questions to help better understand the therapy process.
FAQ
What to expect in the first session?
The initial session typically entails completing a general intake questionnaire, providing a safe environment for clients to delve into the issues prompting them to seek psychotherapy.
Payment Options
I offer an automated payment system, ensuring all my clients can focus on their sessions without the hassle of managing payments each time.

I do offer sliding scale pricing to a limited number of clients based on financial need.
Insurance
As an 'Out of Network' provider, I offer support for clients interested in utilizing their out-of-network benefits. I can supply you with a detailed invoice containing all the required documentation for insurance claim processing. Clients receive a superbill from me to facilitate reimbursement from their insurance providers.
Medication
I am a Licensed Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) and a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), not a psychiatrist, and can not prescribe medication.
Psychotherapy can be effective in managing a variety of symptoms, however, there are times when medication is necessary to alleviate the distress of the individual. If we conclude together that you may benefit from medication, I can provide a referral to a psychiatrist. If you are currently working with a psychiatrist, I am happy and willing to collaborate with him/her to facilitate your care.
Confidentiality
Every session provides a safe space that is completely confidential and where discussions stay between the client and therapist. There are some limits to confidentiality that would require me to break confidentiality which include:
-
Intent and plan to harm yourself or others.
-
Child and/or elder abuse.
-
If a court of law issues a subpoena or a client is mandated to treatment by court order.
